This safari will take you to the foothills of Damavand, with an elevation of 5610m the highest peak of Iran. We will explore Lar Protected Area and its nice lake and some of the national heritage sites in the Central Alborz Mountain Range like Div-e Asiab water source.

Lar Protected Area is one of the most fascinating areas of the Alborz Range. At an elevation of 3000 meters, it is located to the West of Damavand Mountain (5610m), the highest mountain and volcano of Iran. Although nomads use some parts of this area as summer meadows for their sheep, it is still pristine and full of wild life. We will visit the South and West Side of Damavand via the deep routes of Lar Protected Area which is full of a great variety of wild flowers during most of the year. The peaks of the Central Alborz also cradle Div-Asiab Water Source , a unique part of Iran’s national heritage.
