Iran has diverse climates.  Two thirds of Iran is desert, but one third is covered by breathtaking mountains. The Alborz Mountain Range stands like a wall between the Caspian Sea and the Central Desert. Damavand, with its 5610m peak the highest mountain of Iran, is part of this range.  This big wall helped the Hyrcanian jungles to survive the Ice Age by keeping the humidity of the Caspian Sea on the Northern side.

As experienced explorers of the Alborz Range, we know its nicest routes to  the best viewpoints to see the “ocean of clouds” from our rest chairs in front of our tents. Depending on your time, interest and budget, we can arrange a mountain safari journey for you in these unique viewpoints from one to ten days. Fortunately, these vistas are mostly in protected areas, so there is always a chance to see the wild life – provided our guests act with care.

RO uses well equipped 4X4 vehicles for transportation, so we carry everything up with cars to make our base camp between 2000 and 3500 meters above sea level. This will save travelers’ time and energy to reach places that are physically demanding.  For travelers with good physical capabilities, we arrange more places to visit or optional hikes to the peaks in the area with the help of professional mountain guides.

We strive to provide the best quality food during our trips. Depending on the timing and conditions of the trip, there are 3 types of foods to be served: local foods (which are made and served by locals), traditional Iranian meals or camping food (both are made and served by our RO chef). Enjoy good quality camping and comforting gears with the experienced RO crew.
